Moving geometry to line up with grid

There is no section in the forum for plain old 2d drawing functionality so I posted here.
I have a block shape the is an imported dxf. When I open the shape to edit it none of the lines are aligned with the grid I have setup. All I want to do is select all the geometry and shift around a bit so it lines up with the grid. I can't figure out how to do that. If I select everything, right-click, and select move the move from reference point seems to be approximately where I right-clicked. The move to reference point will snap to the grid if you want it to. The end result is that the geometry is still not aligned with the grid. So what is the trick to get your geometry to align to a grid?
I couldn't figure out how to measure anything either. Can you measure from a circle center point to a grid location and get the x and y offsets? If can do this measure, is there a way to use this information with the move command to move geometry to an exact location?

I think the issue here is that the probe modifier (bottom right of the window in Creo Schematics) is defaulting to 'snap to grid' in both cases. Therefore, when you do the first click "Select Point for Translation" even though you're clicking on the geometry it's actually snapping to the grid (you'll notice this because the geometry on the cursor is slightly offset).
Therefore, for that first click make sure to use the 'Intersection' probe modifier and for the second click use the 'Grid' probe.
So the order of operations is:
- Select the geometry to move
- Activate Move tool
- Choose 'Intersection probe' modifer
- Click on corner of geometry to place on grid
- Choose 'Grid probe' modifier
- Click on grid point to which you want to align
- Right Mouse Button>Exit Tool (or middle mouse)
That should work for you...
