Hello, I am still learning RSD and have doing a design that needs to have a different font in some of the design.

Is there any way to change the font so that the characters are easier to read? I know you can change the text formatting, but I would like to use a completely different english font. I see the option when I open the label editor, I just can't find where I can import another font.

Thanks to any that can help!

Unfortunately, true type fonts will not be available until RSD 9.0.   FYI 9.0  is in pre-production as of last week.  According to the schedule the production version is due out in Feb 2010.  You solution in the meantime, is that you can select one of the 9 font types after change the Type from Unadorned to Decor Unadorned.  By the way, if you right click on the text icon and select properties, you can set the default type, font, size, etc.  This will eliminate the need to repeatable set it.   When you go to exit the tool, it will ask you if you want to save your changes to the defaults, say yes and then copy the rsdesigner_defaults.dat and rsdesigner_configs.bin and make it available to all users.  Typically I do this by copying them down in a batch file. Let me know if you need help with this.  BTW Consider changing the properties for labels as well.

Take care,
Cassandra

Is there a way to set any other defaults like the layout to fixed size?
