Is there any way to apply a property to a fiber and have either the connected block or port on BOTH sides inherit the property value?

Example:  I want to put a signal name parameter on a fiber and have the ports at both ends of the fiber inherit the value

Yes, this is possible. One way would be to use Java. Another is to define a derived property as

dg_derive_indirect2(zzzz,<connected(wiring,direct)!container!name>)

and apply it to the port. The zzzz part can be any property that doesn't exist.

This works well for ports provide they don't have more than one connection. For blocks would be need as unless the block only had one port you woudl have to somehow decide which port to look at.
